4 positive impacts of homeworking

For years this concept has been known throughout the work world and especially among employers and self-employed people. Homeworking is not new and allows many of us to continue working from home despite the pandemic.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 and the health measures that go along, including physical distancing, have had many consequences on the workers’ lives. Homeworking became the daily routine for a large proportion of them. Working from home became one of the safest ways to avoid contamination on the workplace.

4 positive impacts of Homeworking :

● Increased autonomy and responsibility, as the homeworker organises his/her own schedule.

● Autonomy and management of own schedule and rest time.

● Decrease in transport-related stress (unproductive time spent in transport).

● Increased efficiency

Homeworking, Ok? But how to do it the best way?

Homeworking is new for many people. We've put together a list of things to do to make sure your new way of working will be alright.

● Take breaks. Just like at work, take a break to clear your head.

● Open your windows regularly. Go for a walk, stretch.

● Make a work area where you will not be disturbed nor distracted.

● Make a schedule and stick to it, teleworking does not mean working more or even later.

● Dress comfortably, but don't stay in pyjamas.

● Keep in touch with your manager and colleagues. Organise team meetings.

From now on homeworking will be a part of our daily lives, but working in the office will also restart. Please contact us in order to have enough masks or other protective equipment to protect your teams at restart.
